MANUKURA Touch

"Obstacles are the cost of greatness."

As MANUKURA’s largest summer code touch plays a large part in the skill development of our male and female rugby and rugby league players. Touch has also led many individuals to achieve national and regional recognition. Touch in NZ is an integral part of the NZ and Māori sporting fabric and although touch is played at many levels from social to competitive, MANUKURA encourages touch at a high performance level. MANUKURA Touch strategic direction aligns with Touch NZ and is focused on developing better people. Developing positive on and off field behaviour that contributes to a healthier community and enables physical, emotional and social well being. MANUKURA Touch also follows the Touch NZ AWHI guidelines which promotes respect, celebration and support of players, coaches, managers, referees and supporters. MANUKURA Touch has high aspirations. Recent national results has provided optimism for a national title in the near future and the individual recognition of our students in national teams highlights a proven pathway to national representation.

Our History

Touch at MANUKURA has enjoyed a recent period of success on an individual and team level. MANUKURA is fortunate enough to attract students who are multi talented and while touch may not be their main code they still excel and play to a high level regionally and nationally.
